The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Bird-Johnson Company for spare parts for the controllable pitch propeller hubs for the Dredge McFarland. Bird-Johnson is considered the only supplier of the required parts due to proprietary rights of the required parts. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Competitive Proposals. No contract award will be made on the basis of this notice. This notice does not constitute a solicitation document. No solicitation document exists. Requests for such documents will not be considered. However, all information received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. Delivery is required within 120 days from the date of contract award. SIC code for this procurement is 3599.
