The Corps of Engineers intends to award a sole source contract for an environmental monitoring system (EMS) to Rees Scientific Corporation, 1007 Whitehead Road, Trenton, NJ. The requirement is to upgrade an existing Rees SERII-32-PC to a Rees SERII-128-PC at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington. The system must be capable of handling, at a minimum, 59 sensors (29 already exist) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The components shall be compatible with and shall not cause voiding of the warranty of the existing system. The anticipated performance period is 45 days after contract award. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for proposals/offers. All responsible sources requesting a solicitation must submit a response which will be considered by this agency. Sufficient data must be provided to indicate that the proposed equipment will be compatible with the existing system and that the existing system will not become inactive while installing the new system. If no written responses are received within 15 calendar days, a sole source contract will be issued. See Note 22. (0364)
