Provide one Sun Microsystems SPARCCenter 2000, or equivalent: four SuperSPARC+ central processing units (reduced instructon set computing CPUs) or SPARC/SCD-compliant processors operating at 60MHz, 189 million instructions per second, with 1 megabyte cache on each module; expandable to 20 SPARC/SCD-compliant modules, two on each of ten system boards within the data center cabinet. Base configuration of 256 megabytes of ECC memory (eight 32-megabyte SIMMs), expandable to 512 megabytes per memory board; initial configuraton to include base 256 megabytes plus 64 megabytes ECC memory (eight 8-megabyte SIMMs). Dual system buses (XDBus or equivalent) providing a high-speed and high-bandwidth, parity protecte backplane bus (64-bit width at 640 Megabytes/second). Each system board to contain four SBus (or equivalent) expansion slots (32-bit width). Base configuration of 17.4 gigabytes differential wide SCSI-2 disks; expandable to 37 gigabytes of differential SCSI expansion disk storage (data transfer rate 10 megabytes per second; average seek time 12.9 ms).
