Proposed procurement is to supply liquid oxygen for the Richard B. Russell Dam and Lake for seasonal year 1995, with the option to extend the contract for two one-year periods. Prospective contractors must possess or have access to an oxygen production plant capable of supplying approximately 8,000 tons of liquid oxygen for seasonal years 1995, 1996, and 1997. Each seasonal year is estimated to extend for 8-1/2 months with start-up beginning in the late March/April period and ending in the mid-November/early December period. A maximum rate of 200 tons per day is expected to occur for several weeks in the summer and fall of each year. The delivery site will accommodate 20-ton tanker trucks.
