For further information, call Contract Specialist Don Wadhams at 206-526-6036 NOAA announces the availability, on or about January 13, 1995, of Request for Comments (RFC) No. 52ABNF500051 for the North Pacific Domestic Fisheries Observer Program. Under this proposed program the experienced Contractors will provide qualified biologists to serve as observers aboard commercial fishing vessels and on processing facilities for research plan fisheries in the North Pacific. Supervise observers and arrange/schedule all logistic support related to training/briefing, deployment to fishing vessels and debriefing. Provide to the Government all data gathered during observer deployments. NOAA will host a pre-solicitation conference, in Seattle, WA, sometime in February,1994. Actual time, date and specific location will be made available concurrent with issuance of the RFC. This RFC, and any attached documents, are for planning purposes only. No contracts will be awarded based on responses to this RFC. The Government will advertise, in the Commerce Business Daily, prior to issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for this effort.
