For further information call Contract Specialist Linda Shaw at 206-526-6461 The Government requires two vessels with masters and crews to conduct bottom trawl assessments of groundfish resources in continental shelf and slope waters off California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. The survey will use high opening NorEastern trawls beginning on or about July 6, 1995. The charters will begin and end in Seattle, Washington. Offerors may offer one vessel or more. Vessels shall have an overall length of 25.9m (85ft), minimum main engine continuous horsepower of 600, be completely rigged for commercial scale trawling, and have suficient living quarters to accomodate up to 10 persons ( a crew of 5 and 5 scientists). The Government will provide trawls, doors, dandylines, trawl repair equipment, and all scientific sampling equipment, and all scientific sampling equipment. The contract will provide a Government option for the same charters with the vessels in 1996 and 1997. (0003)
