Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL, Inc.) requires a Manually Operated Horizontal Boring Mill. The horizontal boring mill shall be a 4'' spindle, table type machine and include the following: over arm attachment, angular milling attachment, rotating spindle support, coolant system, power draw bar, full pendant control panel with integral four (4) axis digital readout (x,y,z and w), 360 degree integral rotary machine table with optional positioning and a facing head. The bed shall be a one piece close grain ribbed cast iron casting with integral out board supports. The machine shall have a minimum table size of 40'' x 55'' and the following travels: x-axis (table cross travel) 70'', y-axis (headstock travel) 60'', z-axis (spindle travel) 24'', w-axis (table longitudinal travel) 60'' and accommodate a work piece weight of at least 7,500 lbs. The system shall make precision cuts and meet the accuracy of one of the following Machine Tool Industry Standards: NMTBA, JIS or DIN. It shall operate on a supplied power of 480 volts, 3 phase, 60 Hz, or be provided with a power transformer. Seller shall be responsible for installation, ensuring the system is fully operational and buyer personnel training. Vendors capable of providing this item shall submit inquiries to D.H.
