production instrument, not a prototype. The system shall be capable of
performing automated, unattended multi-element analysis with high
precision and accuracy. The following requirements are listed: (1)
inductively coupled plasma ion source, a quadrupole mass filter, and an
ion detection system, (2) a recirculating water chiller that will
provide an adequate circulating temperature to maintain stable system
operation, (3) an autosampler capable of handling at least 200 samples
and standards, (4) two sets of operation, methods, and repair manuals.
