Contracting Officer, (407) 494-4393. The Air Force intends to
negotiate a proposal to procure Microsoft Comprehensive Premier Support
from Microsoft Corporation of Redmond, WA for one year on a sole source
basis. The requirement is to provide telephonic and remote technical
support for all Microsoft products. Problem support will be initiated
by telephone, but will also include interaction by electronic file
transfer and remote access by support personnel to the subject computer
systems. Problem resolution will include software ''patches'' for
Microsoft products, pre-release fixes of Microsoft products, and
development of system ''work-arounds'' using current software. The
service is further required to support interface issues between
Microsoft products and other manufacturer's hardware and software,
including systems from Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Digital
Equipment Corporation (DEC), Diamond Flower Incorporated (DFI), and
Government Technical Information Systems (GTSI). This support will be
provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A Technical Account Manager
will be assigned by the provider to coordinate all incidents and
resolutions, and to provide continuity in solving system problems and
design issues. It will authorize 6 (4 basic + 2 additional) personnel
for unlimited problem solution support for the following categories of
Microsoft products: all desktop applications (including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Mail, FoxPro, Access, etc.), all operating systems and
hardware (including Windows for Workgroups, DOS, and Mouse), all
development products (including Windows SDK, C/C++, Visual C++, Visual
Basic), and all advanced systems (including Windows NT, Advanced
Server, SQL Server, mail systems, and gateways). FOB Destination to
Patrick AFB, FL. Authority for this procurement is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1)
as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a) 2(ii). Delivery required 60 days ARO.
Replies to this synopsis must be received within 15 days from the date
of publication. Firms must submit a capabilities statement, to include
detailed technical literature that demonstrates the ability to meet
the above requirement. The response should be sufficient to permit
agency analysis to establish bonafide capability to meet these
