410-962-3534 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District
intends to place an order with Gateway 2000, under GSA ADP Schedule
GS00K94AGS5150 to procure equipment listed below. No contract award
shall be made on the basis of any response to this notice, because the
synopsis of intent to place an order against the schedule contract
shall not be considered a solicitation document. No solicitation
document exists and no telephone inquiries will be honored. Written
responses, including GSA contract number (if applicable), complete
pricing information and technical data in sufficient detail to
determine the offeror's capability of meeting the requirement must be
received by this office within 15 calendar days from publication of
this notice. If no affirmative responses are received within this time
to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the
Government is available, an order will be placed with the above vendor
against their current GSA schedule contract. All responses from
responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing
responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may
determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is
issued, no additional synopsis will be issued. Any such solicitation
will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that
respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the
solicitation. The procurement consists of: thirty (30) each of Intel
90Mhz Pentium Microprocessors, (new chip without floating point error),
8mb DRAM (70ns SIMMS) expandable to 128mb, 256kb SRAM cache, 340MB
Western Digital IDE with 64KB multisegmented cache buffer, PCI
local-bus accerlerated graphics with 2MB DRAM, double-speed CD-ROM
drive, 3.5'' 1.44MB diskette drive, 14'' CTX color monitor, four 16-bit
ISA, two 32-bit PCI and one PCI/ISA slots, tower case with 145-watt
power supply, 124-key AnyKey programmable keyboard, 3Com ethernet
triple media, Microsoft mouse and Gateway mouse pad, MS-DOS
6.2/Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11, MS Office Professional 4.3
on CD, Bookshelf '94 and Money 3.0, AMI BIOS, Battery-backup
clock/calendar, QAPlus hardware diagnostics software, three year
