Office of Air and Radiation, Technology Development Group, requires a
contractor to design and fabricate specialized automotive components
such as those used in engines, powertrains, and fuel systems using
alternative fuels (electricity, ethanol, methanol, natural gas,
petroleum gas, and reformulated gas). The contractor shall provide all
the necessary equipment, personnel, and facilities to design,
fabricate, acquire, assemble, calibrate, and perform engineering tasks
and testing of the requisite components including components of
vehicles, engines, transmissions, powertrains, fuel systems, and hybrid
propulsion systems. Specifics regarding types of components, systems,
types of tests, procedures, data handling, and reporting will be
defined in individual work assignments. The contemplated period of
performance consists of a 12-month base term plus two 12-month options
to extend the contract term. The base level of effort for each term
will consist of 4,300 direct labor hours and options to increase the
level of effort by up to 2,150 direct labor hours during each term. All
