This synopsis is to solicit interest from experienced firms in the industry to determine set-aside status. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 8734, ``Research, Development, and Testing Services: Testing Laboratories''. The related small business size standard is $5,000,000. Interested qualified sourcesare invited to submit a statement within fifteen calendar days of publication of this synopsis clearly demonstrating (A) its relevant experience and ability to perform all of the required tasks, and (B) giving its business size. The four (4) aspects to this project are to (a) supply, install and implement a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to automate the handling of laboratory data; (b) produce a Quality Assurance Plan that is specific to the Navy's Fena Laboratory; (c) produce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all major laboratory instruments; and (d) train the laboratory personnel in the use of LIMS and the implementation of the procedures developed for the QA Plan and SOPs. Any award will be as a firm, fixed-price contract. The contract term will be for 270 days from date of award.
