The standards will be used for the pre-employment screening of applicants for these occupations and for referral of personnel currently occupying these positions for medical suitability determinations. In addition, a valid color vision test that is based on the tasks requiring color distinction and the working environment will be developed; a job-related orthopedic assessment form will be developed; and scientific measurements of sound and noise inherent in the workplace will be conducted.
