Standards developed must define medical requirements for the Customs
occupations of inspector and canine enforcement officers. The standards
will be used for the pre-employment screening of applicants for these
occupations and for referral of personnel currently occupying these
positions for medical suitability determinations. In addition, a valid
color vision test that is based on the tasks requiring color
distinction and the working environment will be developed; a
job-related orthopedic assessment form will be developed; and
scientific measurements of sound and noise inherent in the workplace
will be conducted. Completion time for contract is 300 days after award
of the contract. Proposals are due 60 days after issuance of RFP.
