Work consist of renovating 83 bedroom units in BEQ bldg. 583B at Onizuka Air Station Annex at Moffett Federal Airfield. Work includes replacing carpet, painting walls and ceilings, replacing light fixtures, replacing window blinds, replacing smoke detectors, painting exterior trim and handrails, replacing toilet accessories and converting one bedroom unit into a kitchen. The work will be performed in six (6) phases. Performance period is 180 days after NTP. Estimated cost range $250,000 - $500,000. This proposed procurement is being considered for 100% set-aside for SDB concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing the contracting office with evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with telephone numbers, point of contact and contract numbers), letters from the bonding company certifying bonding capability up to the maximum magnitude of the project, previous contracts, experience and positive statement as a small and socially disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. If references and eligibility statements are not submitted for each separate solicitation, those SDB concerns, will not be considered in determining the set-aside. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from both large and small business concerns as well as SDB concerns. All responsive, responsible business concerns will be considered.
