70 -- MAINTENANCE OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR TVA SOL YD-124552 POC Contracting Officer: Betty J. Baker Phone: (615) 751-7249 TVA intends to purchase the following goods or services by Competitive Negotiation: Maintenance of hardware and software for TVA-owned large scale CDC computer system that includes a Cyber 2000, Cyber 960, a CDC-4680, two CDC-4360 CPU's, and associated peripheral devices, including a 5830 DiskArray Subsystem. The system is primarily used in support of nuclear power plant engineering analysis. The computer applications include piping analysis, structural analysis, seismic analysis, reactor safety analysis, and fuel loading. The contract also provides for the contractor to manage the supplied quality assured software applications and the operating system software in accordance with TVA's nuclear software quality assurance (SQA) requirements. Term of contract will be for two years with two one-year renewal options and will include provisions for upgrades to obsolete hardware code or software with new versions and/or releases. The prime contractor will have overall SQA and contractural responsibilities for interfacing with TVA. Goods and services will include SQA support, acquisition, maintenance and replacement of third party software licenses, other software, and hardware. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued within 15 days after date of Commerce Business Daily (CBD) publication.
