Collins, Contracting Officer, (405) 954-7879 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the services of a Senior Radiation Physicist with expertise in cosmic radiation physics, including proficiency in the calcuations involved in estimating absorved dose and dose-equivalent rates on the basis of data on protons and alpha particles impinging on the atmosphere. Base year plus three one-year options. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 8731. These services are only known to be available from Keran O'Brien because the required service is needed to perform cosmic (solar particle and galactic radiation hazards at air carrier flight altitudes, and Mr. O'Brien has developed proprietary computer programs that do this. Other concerns having the ability to furnish the above services are requested to give written notification (including the name and telephone number of a point of contact) to the procuring office listed in this notice, with reference made to market survey file # 79-10434, within 45 calendar days from the date of this publication. Responses should provide information regarding the ability of your concern to satisfy the Government's requirement.
