The contract is being phased out. Therefore, the extension will continue to provide only electronic switching and intra-system cable transmission services for appromiximately twelve (12) sites until the applicable full and open competitive follow-on contracts are in place. The extension will not require an increase in the contract value. The extension will be conducted using other than full and open competition, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1). The extension shall not include any lease of customer premise equipment (CPE) nor provide for maintenance change outs. The anticipated award date of the extension is prior to 20 JUNE 1995.
