(202) 283-1162. The Internal Revenue Service intends to place a non
competitive order against Hewlett Packard Schedule GS-OOF-0806AJ627-13C
for the acquisition of the following equipment. Hewlett Packard (HP)
Network Advisor to include, at the very least, a color VGA LCD display;
16MB Ram; 172MB Hard Disk; a network Advisor Ethernet Interface Module
to use in conjunction with the HP Network Advisor and accompanying
measurement software, with and increase in the network interface
capture buffer and program memory (RAM) from 8MB to 16MB; a Network
Advisor FDDI Dual Attach Interface Module to use in conjunction with
the HP Network Advisor and accompanying measurement software, with an
increase in the network interface capture buffer and program memory
(RAM) from 16MB to 32MB; Manufacturer's Warranty on all equipment; Two
(2) weeks of on site product assistance and training to cover the
above equipment; date, time and location to be determined by the
government; One class (week) to be an intensive training session for
the personnel at the National Office; The other class (week) will be
for various personnel from the service centers. Vendor/User Equipment
will be used. A simulated FDDI Ring environment must be provided for
training. The system engineer/instructor at the location specified by
the IRS will be required to cover FDDI and Ethernet Network problems
and their solutions and answer other questions relating to
FDDI/Ethernet topics pertaining to the equipment. All responsible
sources who can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit
written responses which shall include; price (s); FOB point; a
description of the equipment offered in sufficent technical detail to
permit a technical evaluation; a POC (name and telephone number); GSA
Contract number if applicable; delivery date; business size; and
payment terms. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) calendar
days of the date of publication of this notice. All responses received
will be fully considered subject to technical evaluation on
acceptabililty by the IRS. Oral communications are not aceptable and
will not be honored. All questions must be submitted in writing. No
facsimile will be accepted. As a result of analyzing responses to this
synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a
solicitation be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional
synopsis will be published. Any such soliciation will be issued to the
intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis
