70 -- ADP SOFTWARE: NOTICE OF INTENT POC Joanne Tarr tel: (410) 965-9474 Notice of intent to place an order against 800 Software Inc.'s non-mandatory GSA Schedule Contract GS-OOK-94-AGS-6361. The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to place an order for the acquisition 650 EACH of the following Lotus software products: Lotus GSA Instal 123/Windows, English-Passport License, p/n G10269; Lotus 1-2-3 R5 for Windows Passport Media Pack, p/n GO9168; Lotus 1-2-3 R5 for Windows Passport Documentation Kit, p/n G09170. The software is being purchased under the statutory authority for other than full and open competition, 40 USC 759(g) -- ''when the needs of an agency can be satisfied only through the use of a specific make and model. SSA acquired workstations without the agency standard Lotus software currently installed on systems throughout SSA, from an existing Department of Defense contract, Desktop IV. The Lotus software is to be installed on the workstations acquired off the Desktop IV contract so that they will be compatible with the current systems to be migrated into SSA's IWS/LAN environment. ALL INQUIRIES SHALL REFERENCE JTLOTUS. Only written responses will be accepted and must include GSA contract number, if applicable, prices, and sufficient information to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. All responses must be received within 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be provided to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. If no affirmative written responses are received within 15 calendar days after publication of this notice to the effect that a comparable source exists or that it is more advantageous for the Government than purchasing from the ADP schedule, an order will be placed with 800 Software Inc. from their schedule contract. The Government does not intend to pay for information provided. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be issued, nor will respondents be notified of the results of the evaluation of the data received.
