The UPS is a power modulator and short term power source for critical medical laboratory equipment. The minimum requirements for the UPS is a 60 KW 3-phase uninterruptable power supply (208Y/120) with internal electronic bypass, main DC breaker, a 42-panel load distribution and a battery pack sufficient to support laboratory equipment for a minimum of 26 minutes at 45 KW load cabinets. This is a single UPS unit which is sized to support existing medical genetics laboratory instrumentation and which has extra capacity to accommodate future needs.
