The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement to develop fiber optic sensors, systems, and optical components. The work shall include the following tasks: (1) development and testing of fiber optic sensors and systems for distributed strain sensing (2) development and testing of fiber optic acoustic sensors (3) development and analysis of fiber optic electro-magnetic and environmental sensors (4) development of integrated optic phase shifters, frequency shifters, and modulators. Offerors must have demonstrated experience and demonstrated ability to provide qualified personnel in performing the specified tasks. Prior to contract award, offerors must have a Secret Facility clearance. The major portion of the tasks will be performed at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Washington, D. C. The period of performance is for one (1) year with two (2) one year options. The solicitation will close 30 days after the solicitation issuance date.
