A -- MEDICAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY COLLABORATION IN STUDY OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR CONSEQUENCES OF SLEEP APNEA POC James Kiley, Ph.D., Acting Director, National Center on Sleep Disorders Research, NHLBI, (301) 496-7443. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute is undertaking a study on the cardiovascular consequences of sleep apnea. It is anticipated that the study will utilize non-attended measurements of sleep disordered breathing in 4,000 to 6,000 study participants recruited from 8 to 10 distinct sites.
