Work includes design and construction of one 5-ton bridge crane and two telescoping platforms to be housed in the NDI/XRAY facility at Kelly AFB, San Antonio, Texas. The purpose of he telescoping platforms is to provide the capability for x-ray inspections of aircraaft components. The 5-ton bridge crane will be used to remove various tail section components. Estimated Cost Range: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Bid sets available at $16.30 for half size and $25.30 for full size. If a large business firm is selected for this announcement, it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the work it intends to subcontract. The Fort Worth District's goal on that part of the work intended to be subcontracted is that 60.3% be given to small business, 9.8% be given to small disadvantaged business, and 2.9% be given to woman owned small business.
