Z -- N239 A HIGH BAY MODIFICATIONS SOL IFB2-36290(PBH) DUE 022295 POC Contact Point, Chris Wolfe, 415/604-1442, Contract Specialist, Patricia Hudson, 415/604-1343 The successful contractor shall provide the materials, equipment, and labor for the N239A High Bay Modification at NASA Ames Research Center in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and contract clauses. This project consists of a base bid and two additive items. The construction is to be in metric units. Materials and products are to be in metric units. All inspections will take place in metric and any shop drawings will be submitted with metric dimensions. The successful Contractor shall demolish existing support space and construction of approximately 120 gross square meters of new support space including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems located in the northern portion of Building N239A. Construct trench system for mechanical and electrical service. The Project area is approximately 450 gross square meters. Additive Item One consists of furnishing and installing 12 mm thick aluminum checkerplate cover in lieu of 10 mm galvanized steel checkerplate cover at utility trench and furnish and install data and telephone conduit, boxes, pull wires, etc., at electrical utility trench. Additive Item Two consists of painting all interior faces of exterior high bay walls and beams supporting high bay roof, including utilities, ducts, conduits, etc. The contract duration will be 275 calendar days, to run concurrently for the base bid and additive items. The estimated magnitude of the project is between 500,000.00 to 1,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Agency. (0006)
