This is a market survey to locate sources for a commercially available Lithium Battery State of Charge Meter to augment or replace the TS-4403A/U, quantities have not been definitized at this time and will be affected by the availability, capability and affortability of any testers identified by this survey. Detailed technical data for the manufacture and acceptance of this item is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing this item must so indicate by writing to the Commander, CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-ED-GT, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response should include documentation such as specifications and test results, if available. We are looking for a meter which can be handheld, is more accurate, provides for improved safety, is battery powered (Alkaline) and is more affordable. The meter should have the capability to test as many of the following batteries as practical: BA-5588, 5590, 5598, 5600, 5647, 5800, and 5112. The ability of the meter to easily add additional batteries at a later date is also desirable. A solution that requires multiple meters to test each of batteries for technical or economical reasons is acceptable. We are also looking into the possibility of acquiring a GO/ NO GO tester which is capable of determining whether a BA-5112 battery is at full or near full capacity.
