A -- DEFENSE SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) PROGRAM Small high-technology business firms with strong research and development capabilities in science or technology are encouraged to submit proposals to the Department of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, under the Defense Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Proposals are limited to 25 pages under Phase I of this three-phase program which is designed to promote innovative solutions to the Department of Defense research and development requirements and to transfer the results to both the Defense and private sector marketplaces. Solicitation Number 95.2 will be issued, February 1, 1995. A wide variety of topics (27) are listed on which we seek proposed solutions. Proposals are to be submitted to the addressees as set forth in the solicitation, to arrive no later than 2:00 P.M. local time, at the addressees activity, April 14, 1995. The solicitation will be mailed automatically to all firms registered on or before December 10, 1994 with the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) SBIR program office. Firms not registered with DTIC can obtain a printed copy of this Solicitation by contacting: address above. This solicitation is also available on floppy diskette (in WordPerfect) and electronically from DTIC.
