A -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR DEVELOPMENT, INTEGRATION AND INTSTALLATION OF A COMMON OPEN SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE FOR SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCES (SOF) AIRCRAFT (QUIET KNIGHT) DUE 011695 POC Mr. Scott Bowles (813) 840-5484 or Lt Col Ron Schwartz (813) 840-5482 The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Acquisition Center (SOAC) Advanced Technology and Enigneering Division, requests information from research, development and manufacturing sources regarding designs and concepts suitable for a common Open System Architecture (OSA) for Special Operations Forces (SOF) aircraft. The third SOF Avionics Architecture and Integration Working Group (SAAIWG) is scheduled for 7-9 Feb 95. A SOF Common Active Terrain Sensing Working Group (SCATSWG) will be held as a sub-group meeting of the SAAIWG. Other working groups scheduled during this SAAIWG will be; the SOF Common Avionic Processor Working Group (SCAPWG), the SOF Intelligence Architecture Working Group (SOFIAWG), and the Quiet Knight Application Software Working Group (QKASWG). One-on-one meetings with the Quiet Knight System Acquisition Manager may be scheduled during registration on the evening of 6 Feb 95. The Working Group meetings will take place on 7 and 8 Feb 95, so their results can be briefed to the entire SAAIWG on 9 Feb 95. A Quiet Knight update and the working group outbriefs are scheduled for all day on 9 Feb 95. All respondees to this announcement will be invited to the 7-9 Feb 95 SAAIWG.
