a Sources Sought synopsis. The following information is provided to do
a market survey of Industry to see if there are any potential
contractors in addition to CAE-Link Corporation, who have the skills
and knowledge required to accomplish the following effort. The purposed
acquisition is for one basic year and four one year options starting 01
Oct 95. There is now available data package (drawings or
specifications). This acquisition is for Contractor Logistic Support
for the F-16 A/B Operational Flight Trainer, Air Defense Fighter, C/D
Weapon System Trainer, and Operations, Stock Store and Issue Center. It
also include engineering support of a Training System Support Center.
The devices covered by continuous on-site CLS are block 30, 40, and 50
C/D OFTs, which include the Improve Electronic Warfare Training Device
(IEWTD), Digital Radar Landmass System (DRLMS), New Digital Radar
Landmass System (NDRLMS), Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting
Infrared System for Night (LANTIRN), and the Limited Field of View
(LVOF) Visual System. The devices covered by on-call effort are the
Weapon System Trainer (WST) and VITAL IV Visual System. On- call
efforts support Egypt, Turkey, Korea and Venezuela. Twelve Avionics
Familiarization Trainers are also supported by on-call CLS. The
Training System Support Center (TSSC) requires personnel, equipment,
and data necessary to provide life cycle software/hardware prototype
support for the ATDs. Current tasks to be performed include support for
the F-16 A/B OFT configured product baseline, software
maintenance/modification, review and impact assessment of weapon system
Engineering Change Proposals and configuration status accounting and
maintenance as a minimum. The requirement contains two sites for TSSC
coverage, Hill AFB UT and Kingsley Field OR. HAFB covers F-16 A/B OFT
baselines and Kingsley Field covers ADF unique WST requirements. It is
suggested that small business firms or others interested in
subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described
procurement make contact with CAE-Link Corporation. The proposed
contract action is for maintenance and engineering services for which
the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source
under the authority of FAR 6.302. Any interested sources in this
synopsis shall describe their qualifications in the following areas: 1.
Current and past experience on all training devices addressed above and
it's relevance to the subject acquisition. 2. Personnel Experience.
Describe the qualifications of personnel projected to work on this
effort. Management, engineering, quality assurance and maintenance
technicians should have experience on the systems addressed. Potential
offerors are requested to submit two copies of an unclassified
response (limit 30 pages) within 10 days after publication of this
