Foreman (405) 954-7894 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for Depot Logistics Support for all efforts to support the LORAL Phase II and LORAL Phase III Low Level Windshear Alert Systems (LLWAS). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is J099. Any contract issued for this requirement will include FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services and FAR Clause 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. These services are only known to be available from Loral Data Systems, P.O. Box 3041, Sarasota, FL 34230 because the FAA does not have the necessary propriatary LORAL specifications, drawings, test procedures, test fixtures, testing documentation or other information required to accomplish this required repair, maintenance services. Other concerns having the ability to furnish the above services are requested to provide to the FAA for evaluation as a possible source a complete support data package to include: Level III drawing of components, test procedures, specifications, shop drawings of required test beds/fixtures, test parameters, required software data for running test equipment and OEM Specifications. This information is required for making a determination that another source can provide the required services. This data, including the name and telephone number of a point of contact, shall be provided to the procuring office listed in this notice, with reference made to market survey file # DTFA-02-C094-LORAL, within 45 calendar days from the date of this publication. Responses should provide information regarding the ability of your concern to satisfy the Government's requirement. All responses to this market survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action by the Government. Any information received as a result of this announcement will not be provided to other contractors and will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. (0009)
