Pulling, Contracting Officer, 817/334-3954. Contractor shall provide
all materials, tools, equipment and labor necessary to provide solid
waste management throughout family housing, cantonment and manuever
areas on Fort Polk. Work includes collection, sorting, transportation,
recovery, storage, processing and disposal of solid wastes. Contract
will be for a one year period, with four additional one year option
periods. If a large business firm is selected, the firm must comply
with FAR 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan.
Fort Worth District goals are that a minimum of 60.3% of the
contractor's total intended subcontracted amount be placed with small
businesses (including small disadvantaged businesses); 9.8% of the
total subcontracted amount be placed with small disadvantaged
businesses; 2.9% of the total subcontracted amount be placed with woman
owned small businesses; and 5.5% of the total subcontracted amount be
placed with historically black colleges or universities/minority
institutions. Solicitation to be issued on or about 30 January 1995,
with proposals due on or about 02 March 1995. All responsible sources
may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. No express
mail procedures will be utilized on initial mailing of solicitation
