The proposed action is for Ballistic Range Support and maintenance services at the Aberdeen Proving Ground for various ballistic programs where specific efforts will include, but are not limited to the following: range preparation, installation, setup, and test execution; equipment repair, inventory, and maintenance; instrumentation development and use; and report on the experiments conducted by the ARL. Some of the work may take place in support of ARL experiments being conducted at facilities not located at APG but which possess unique capabilities. The anticipated contract type is a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (Level of Effort). The level of effort will be 575,075 hours with an option for an additional 112,250 hours. The following labor categories shall be utilized for this effort: Engineering Technician III, Engineering Technician IV, Engineering Technician V, Environmental Technician, (The aforementioned labor categories are labor categories from the Department of Labor Directory of Occupations), and Senior Scientist. This effort will be for a duration of five years with one option for additional hours which will not exceed the initial five year duration.
