The project consists of removal of underground storage tanks, settling sumps, and oil/water separators, the installation of new above ground storage tanks, and new oil/water separators. Work also includes excavation, site demolition, site restoration; handling, storage, characterization, and disposal of waste, electrical alarms controls, wiring, and appurtenances, permitting drainage, dust control and provisions for temporary equipment use. Tanks to be removed include underground storage tanks for heating fuel oil, jet fuel and fueling station. Tank to be installed is an above ground storage tank for jet fuel with fueling station. Removal and replacement of oil/water separators includes removal and demolition of connected holding and settling tanks and replacement with oil/water separators with integral holding tanks. Project includes evaluation of tank and oil/water separator removal sites by New York State registered Professional Engineer. The location of the proposed project is Niagara Falls Air National Guard Base, Niagara Falls International Airport, Niagara Falls, New York. The proposed magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. IFB DAHA30-95-B-0001 will be issued on or about January 31, 1995 with a bid opening date on or about March 7, 1995. The performance time for this proposed project will be 180 calendar days after the receipt of notice to proceed. Notice to proceed will be issued in the spring of 1995 when weather conditions permit.
