The Base Bid work includes rehabilitation of water supply system, rehab of water treatment piping system, replacement of high pressure hydrogen/helium/nitrogen piping systems, installation of a new liquid oxygen transfer station & piping, modification of the hydrogen system for a 6,000 psig capability, rehabilitation of the electrical distribution systems, construction of a small (400 sq. ft.) electrical distribution building, rehabilitation of the lower area road, replacement of the bin retaining walls, rehabilitation of the instrumentation and wiring systems throughout the complex, replacement of the gate to the propellant transfer area, construction of a stairway between the upper and lower areas, replacement of various unit heaters, and installation of lightning protection system for the hydrogen dewar area. The four Additive Items consist of: 1) installation of a primary high pressure water pump system, 2) fabrication of a high pressure fuel vessel and installation of a high pressure fuel system, 3) rehabilitation of concrete basins, metal wall panels, platforms, grating and roofs, 4) installation of a secondary high pressure water pump system. Estimated period of performance is 365 days. The date set for opening of bids is approximate. Construction estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
