Contract Specialist, GAIL SCHULTZ, (503)326-4078 The Corps of
Engineers, Portland District, proposes to contract for five
hydroacoustic systems which will include: five scientific quality,
PC-based echosounders for fisheries application each capable of fast
multiplexing up to ten transducers and equalization of gain in all
channels; six PC's each with echosounder control hardware and software,
signal processing hardware and software, and internal modems; three
bernoulli drives for data mass storage; two uninterruptible power
supplies; 38 six-degree beam width transducers with no sidelobe greater
than -25 db; thirteen 150 ft armored cables; twelve 500 ft deck cables;
twenty-six 1000 ft deck cables. Training will be required by the
Contractor for the system. Delivery FOB destination: Bonneville Dam,
Cascade Locks, Oregon with the first two systems to be delivered within
30 days after contract award. IFB will be available on or about January
30, 1995 at no cost. Tentative bid opening date is March 1, 1995. This
procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns, the size
standard for which is a concern, including affiliates, having not more
than 750 employees. Please indicate business size when responding. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the
