TECHNOLOGIES - FORCED ENTRY SATCOM TERMINAL. POC Charles E. Bullock,

seeking Tri-Band (C, Ku and X band) SATCOM terminal technology which
will support a forced entry with no air head. This market search is to
identify technology that could be evaluated against Army requirements.
The system would be in accordance with the following guidelines: (a)
Repackage existing Multi-Subscriber Equipment (MSE) integrating
dounsized/containerized Radio Access Unit, LAN, CNRI and subscriber
loops. (b) SATCOM and MSE must survive air drop. (c) System must be
designed as a package that can be placed into operation within 30
minutes of delivery by parachute. (d) Utilize no more than one heavy
drop 20 foot pallet. (e) Power sources: Vehicular with DC to AC
inverter and external diesel fueled, skid mounted, no more than two man
lift generator. (f) Able to operate in harsh environmental conditions
without environmental control unit assistance. (g) Terminal must be
compatible with existing GMF terminals as well as TRI-Band capable. (h)
Terminal must have low rate multiplexing capability. (i) Antenna must
be small and light weight; no more than 2.4 m in diameter, minimum G/T
of 21 dB in X band. (j) Terminal must handle the following data rates:
600 Kb/s SMT and T1 RCV with BPSK modulation, T1 XMT and TCV with OQPSK
modulation. (k) The satellite link must be encrypted via current MSE
bulk encryption techniques. (l) Terminal must have CT order wire or
alternative for link engineering and GMF control. (m) MSE subsystem
should have the ability to terminate a dismounted RAU, DNVT
Connectivity, Digital line termination unit, packet switch capability
(802.3 format). Combat Net Radio Interface, Commercial DCO access and
be fully interoperable with existing MSE and TRITAC systems. All
responsible sources may submit a written statement of interest and
technical capability, technical description and availability of their
