This is a market survey to locate sources for the production, testing
and delivery of C/VAM modules IAW Mil-C-XXXXX, dated 20 Oct 94, for
integration with the AN/PVS-6, Mini Eyesafe Laser Infrared Observation
Set (MELIOS), MIL-L-49320 (CR). Qualification testing is required,
including testing for survivability and performance in the combat
environment. The C/VAM is a hemetically sealed module weighing
approximately 0.5 pounds and able to measure the earth's magnetic field
and angle of elevation at a given location within +/- 10 mils. The
C/VAM must be able to maintain accuracy with tilts up to +/- 30 degrees
and banks of up to +/- 10 degrees. An initial or periodic compensation
procedure may be utilized to maintain the accuracy requirements. The
C/VAM operates from a 24 VDC power source, and must be capable of being
declinated. A requirement exists for up to 6000 C/VAM modules, with a
contract to be awarded by the end of FY95. This is not a request for
proposals. Suppliers capable of providing this item must submit
technical information in writing not later than fourteen (14) days
