Officer. Required disciplines will include architectural, structural,
civil, hydraulic, sanitary, mechanical, and electrical. The contract
shall cover Title I, Title II, and other A-E services (sometimes
referred to as Title III: fact finding studies, surveys,
investigations, and reports such as energy studies; interior design;
developing design criteria; preparing and/or updating base
comprehensive plans; preparing remedial action plans and/or statement
of work for hazardous waste cleanup; and other professional A-E
services not necessarily connected with a specific construction
project). The primary purpose of this contract is design services.
Design projects will be to alter, repair, or renovate existing
facilities or to connect new facilities. Designs may include asbestos
abatement, fire suppression systems, grounding systems, airfield
lighting, and other work as necessary. Initial screening of firms will
be based upon the professional qualifications necessary for
satisfactory performance of the services required. Significant
evaluation factors, in order of relative importance to the Government,
are (1) specialized experience in the type of work required; (2)
professional qualifications and availability of experienced key
personnel on the staff of the A-E firms under consideration; (3)
capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past
experience with respect to the performance on Department of Defense
contracts; (5) location in the geographical area of the project (only
firms within 175 mile radius of Valdosta, Georgia will be considered),
and (6) volume of work previously awarded to the firm by the
Department of Defense. It is anticipated the contract will begin on or
around Apr 95 and be completed on or around Apr 96. The Government
reserves the right to increase the contract performance period for an
additional 1-year option for each contract awarded. Multiple contracts
(Architectural,Mechanical-Electrical, Civil-Structural) may be awarded
from this single advertisement. Contracts awarded will not exceed
$250,000 for any years and no individual order will exceed $250,000. To
be considered, a SF-255 and SF-254 must be submitted and must be
received within 30 days from the date of this issue to be considered
for selection. Interested firms must show in item 9, SF-255, the amount
of fee earned from all federal contracts awarded to your firm and
affiliates (do not include consultants) during the last 5 years. The
SF-255s for your consultants should similarly reflect all fees received
from federal contracts, either prime or sub, during the past 5 years.
If item 9 is not completed, submittal will not be considered. Submit
254s and 255s and other appropriate dates relating to qualifications
