U -- PILOT TRAINING SOL RFP-6750 POC Rosswell C. Stemple, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-2278. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has requirement for pilot training. The training is to be 13 hours of flight instruction in emergency and unusual attitude recovery procedures. The training should consist of 10 hours of flight training and 3 hours of ground school. An offeror must meet the following criteria: 1) Be an FAA approved Part 141 School having an FAA approved Aerobatic Spin Training Course at the time of proposal submission. 2) Have a flight training staff of at least 3 full time Aerobatic Competition flight instructors and full ground school facilities with a seven day a week operation. 3) Have at least three aerobatic airplanes in airworthy condition as defined by the FAA and having fully inverted systems. 4) Show that at least 25% of their school's instruction is towards aerobatic training. 5) Be able to provide complete instructional course to at least three pilots per work week, for a total of 48 pilots. Training to be completed within 20 consecutive weeks. 6) The facility must be located near suitable lodging and eating establishments. It is anticipated that a requirements contract with an award year and four option years will be issued as a result of this solicitation. The award will be based on the availability of funds and the continuing need of the Government. The Request for Proposal (RFP) 6750 will be released approximately 1/23/95. Requests for the proposal must be in writing referencing RFP-6750, addressed to the attention of the Contracting Officer listed above and be postmarked no later than 15 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis in the CBD.
