70 -- INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH AT&T GLOBAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS - COMTEN DIVISION FOR SOFTWARE UPGRADES AND SOFTWARE/HARDWARE MAINTENANCE FOR THE DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY (DISA) POC Contracting Officer, Kevin P. Conneen (703) 274-3211//Contract Specialist, Sharon R. Ford (703) 274-3060. The DLA Administrative Support Center (DASC) intends to enter into a negotiated, sole source, three (3) year contract with AT&T Global Information Systems - Comten Division for support of the Comtens located at 25 CONUS sites previously held by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The inventory consists of 20 model 3690/3695, one (1) model 5620 and 12 model 5655/5665/5675. Software upgrades must be available for the entire inventory to maintain host and hardware compatibility. Hardware subassemblies for the 5655/5665/5675 models must be available for increased data handling capability, expandable to their maximum configuration. Software and hardware maintenance services must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to maintain the equipment at 98% effectiveness. Interested parties having the capability to furnish the above described products should submit their product and price information. All responses must contain sufficient technical and pricing information to enable evaluation of the capability of the products to meet the requirements of the Agency; and the cost of the products by individual item. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists and no award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. No telephone inquiries/responses will be accepted. Interested parties may respond in writing to DLA Administrative Support Center (DASC), ATTN: DASC-CPM, Sharon R. Ford, Cameron Station, Alexandria, VA 22304-6100. All responses from responsible sources which are received within 15 days of the date of the publication of this synopsis will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. (012)
