The Contractor shall provide on-site professional mobile calibration services at locations throughout the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region (ND, SD, OH, MI, IL, WI, IN & MN) on FAA owned test equipment such as; O'scopes, multimeters, signal generators, transmission test sets, frequency counters, etc. which have been manufactured by several different companies (H.P., Fluke, Tektronix, Anritsu, Bendix, etc.). FAA anticipates approximately 4000 units of test equipment of various types to require calibration services. The Contractor will be required to furnish all labor, tools, calibration standards, equipment, material, shipment (if required), qualified technicians, and an environmentally controlled Mobile Calibration Facility. He/She shall inspect, test, perform incidental repairs and calibrate the test equipment to strict specifications utilizing MIL-STD-45662, MIL-Q-9858A, MIL-E-17555H and MIL-HDBK-52A. Calibration records shall be provided and maintained as proof that all standards are current and traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The RFP is for an initial year and 4 option periods with an estimated price range of between 1,000,000.00 and 2,000,000.00.
