The U.S. Postal Service has a requirement for services to help it build effective product business planning processes, product positioning, and branding to improve its new product and business planning performance. Additionally, the contractor will be required to establish a business planning process that integrates product business plans with the strategic planning process for five key business areas and conduct a training program for marketing managers to include marketing principles, disciplines, brand equity and positioning, strategic planning, and advertising management. Based on market information, Hurwitt Associates at 1005 FourMile Branch, Spartanburg, SC appears to have unique capabilities to perform this work. They have a unique compilation of experience in actually establishing and managing new businesses and products whereby focused and disciplined business planning, budgeting and prioritization were key ingredients for success and growth; marketing development functions in a diverse range of product and service organizations; improving financial performance of products & services both domestically and overseas; changing the image of established franchises in both product and service branding and positioning to restore competitiveness; and in tailoring training programs for marketing managers based on specific needs of the organization.
