The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a solicitation for systems engineering, configuration management, logistics support, operations and test support to maintain the R&D Submarine Baseline Modifications installed on USS MEMPHIS (SSN 691) during the ENGINEERED REFUELING OVERHAUL (ERO). RFP N00024-95-R-2114 will be issued to General Dynamics Corporation, Electric Boat Division, 75 Eastern Point Road, Groton, CT 06340 as this firm is the sole designer and developer of the R&D Submarine Modifications installed on USS MEMPHIS and has the requisite unique experience and technical knowledge and background to perform this work.
