58 -- PURCHASE CELLULAR TELEPHONE SERVICES, LOUISVILLE DISTRICT, LOUISVILLE, KY SOL DACW27-95-R-0040 DUE 021395 POC Contact Diane Clay Hood, (502) 625-7459 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, intends to solicit and negotiate solely with Cellular One of Louisville, 1000 N. Hurstbourne Parkway, Louisville, KY 40223, for the provision of cellular telephone services. The Louisville District currently has more than 45 telephones under contract with Cellular One. Four of these have Voice Mail service. Opening this contract to another provider would impose a hardship on the Louisville District and the current users of these telephones since all new telephone numbers would be required for the telephones. Additionally, Cellular One will act as a central point of contact for the arrangement of service throug,out the Louisville District area of responsibility. They will arrange for new service, for the programming of dual or multi-NAM service, and will provide assistance in resolving billing disputes, incorrect application of taxes, and provide reports as requested on roaming patterns and make recommendations for cost reduction to the Louisville District. A solicitation is not available and requests for a solicitation will be considered non-responsive and not valid for further consideration. See Note 22. (0013)
