99 -- CONTROL SUBSTANCE INSPECTION DUE 020595 POC Contact Point, JUDY INFUSINO, (415)750-2063 The San Francisco VA Medical Center seeks to hear from qualified sources for the staffing and performance of its monthly controlled substances inspections. The inspections must be accomplished once each month in all clinical areas, both inpatient and outpatient, in all research laboratories where controlled substances are used and stored, and in the Pharmacy Controlled Substances Vault. Contractor must insure compliance with all VA and FDA regulations and would be reponsible for staffing and conducting monthly unannounced on-site inspections, insuring accuracy of inspection results, conducting follow-up actions to resolve indentified discrepancies, and completing and forwarding a final report through appropriate channels to the Medical Center Director for approval. The contractor would work directly under the Chief of Staff. The contractor in conjunction with the Chief, Pharmacy Service, the Chief of Staff, and the Chief, Acquisition and Materiel Management Service would have the opportunity to devise and operate an inspection system that would both be efficient and comply with VA regulations.
