L -- STEAM TURBINE NO.3 ROTOR REPAIR AND INSTALLATION WORK SOL CD-95-07 DUE 022395 POC Iris Young, Contract Specialist, (507) 52-3957, James Hannigan, Contracting Officer, (507) 52-7927 The Panama Canal Commission (PCC) is interested in negotiating a firm fixed-price contract to manufacture and furnish a complete set of blades, shroud bands and disc assembly for row L-2, an inner gland rotor sleeve for the high pressure side, and a complete set of turbine rotor's radial seal strips. The Contractor shall also dust blast, inspect, perform Non Destructive Inspection, install the new L-2 row (disc, blades and shroud bands) and inner gland rotor sleeve on the turbine rotor and balance the turbine at the Contractor's facility. A field representative shall be sent to PCC's Miraflores Generating Station to advise the Commission during the assembly and testing of the Steam Turbine No. 3. PCC will transport the turbine rotor from the Miraflores Power Station to Charleston Air Force Base and viceversa and the Contractor shall transport the rotor from that point to to their facilities. The unit shall be operational no later than October 15, 1995. Criteria for award will be based on corporate and field representative's experience, methodology for carrying out the work, time schedule, past performance and price.
