Q -- NONPERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR FOUR (4) MEDICAL ASSISTANTS SOL 157-0019. DUE 022895. POC Deborah Townson, Contract Specialist, 205/264-1820. Nonpersonal services medical contract for provision of service to the male inmate population of a minimum security federal prison by four (4) medical assistants for a contract period which includes a base year not to exceed twelve (12) months with four (4) one-year options for renewal. Each contractual position is estimated to be for five six-hour sessions per week and is not estimated to exceed 251 sessions per twelve-month period. Each contractual position shall not exceed 30 hours per week. Contractor(s) shall be licensed and/or certified as a medical assistant. Contractual duties include the following: however, the list is not all-inclusive and specific attention should be paid to the Statement of Work included within the solicitation package: medical intake screening of incoming inmates; medical transcription, to include production of typed reports from dictated materials in a wide range of accents; medical records filing; obtain laboratory samples; perform phlebotomies; perform audiometric and/or visual testing; perform EKG's; take vital signs; assist in emergency medical treatment; and other duties as detailed within the Statement of Work. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 01-25-95 with scheduled opening of proposals on 02-28-95.
