Y -- FUEL STORAGE AND TRANSFER FACILITY UPGRADE Contact: J.E. Teahan, Contract Administrator, 516-282-3140. This procurement is unrestricted. All competent firms are invited to submit bids. Work consists of construction of a 7,500 SF fuel truck offloading and pumping facility to include excavation, and concrete work, site paving, the installation of double wall piping to existing oil storage tanks and upgrading the existing tanks with internal lining, double bottoms and cathodic protection. All work will be awarded on a single contract. Estimated construction cost is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Estimated time is 52 weeks. Bid documents will be available on or about March 1, 1995. A 20% bid bond is required. Payment and performance bonds are required after contract award. Brookhaven is charging a non-refundable fee of $70 for bid documents. Personal checks made out to ``Brookhaven National Laboratory'' are acceptable. Checks may be sent immediately and bid packages will be mailed upon availability. Requests for bid packages received without proper payment will not be acknowledged. (013)
