Y -- VISITOR CENTER COMPLETION, BOULDER CANYON PROJECT, BOULDER CITY, NEVADA SOL 1425-5-SI-30-11640 POC Contact Ms. Caryn Rotheim, Procurement Technician, 702-293-8588; Synopsis No. 95-01 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to construct a kiosk and miscellaneous items necessary for the completion of the Hoover Dam Visitor Center. The principal features of the work include: Constructing a kiosk in the Visitor Center plaza area; furnishing and installing a handrail on the existing segmental bridge; furnishing and installing a handrail for the center of the stairway between the balcony adit and the connecting ramp; furnishing and installing a handrail at the projection level of shaft B of the Visitor Center adjacent to the top landing of the spiral staircase; furnishing and installing lighting fixtures in the balcony adit and the connecting ramp; furnishing and installing lighting fixtures for the new penstock viewing platform; and furnishing and installing roadway signage. The estimated cost range of this project is $100,001 to $250,000. The location of this project is at Hoover Dam which is located on the Colorado River approximately 7 miles northeast of Boulder City, Nevada, and 32 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada. The work is located in Clark County, Nevada. The performance time for completion of this project is 90 calendar days. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. This solicitation is not restricted. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 1542 and the small business size standard is $17 million. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is February 7, 1995. The estimated date for receipt of bids is March 7, 1995.
