Bretz Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary for the removal and storage of an existing 30' steel modular tower; removal and disposal of an existing 7' x 7' x 3' high concrete foundation. Provide and place approx 120 tons of rip rap stone; construct a new reinforced concrete foundation; reinstall the 30' steel tower on the new foundation; and, incidental related work at Bartlett Reef Light, Long Island Sound, CT (New London County). This is an off-shore location, accessible only by boat or barge. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Solicitation packages to be available on or about 02/07/95. This procurement is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
