The new steel beam superstructure will support a cast-in-place reinforced concrete composite deck slab. The bridge substructure will consist of 4 piers of precast prestressed concrete piles with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete pile cap and 2 cast-in-place reinforced concrete abutment units founded on prestressed concrete piles. Realignment of the bridge approaches will involve site clearing, earthwork, and construction of a bituminous concrete roadway pavement. Work will be staged to maintain vehicular traffic at the facility during construction. Also included is the removal of: the existing bridge, concrete superstructure, timber pile substructure units, and the bridge approach roadway pavements. Experience clauses will be part of this solicitation. Estimated cost range: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The SIC code is 1629 and the size standard is $17 Million. This proposed contract is being considered for 100% set-aside for SDB concerns. Interested SDB should indicate interest by providing evidence of capability to perform and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically DB concern.
